Overview · October 2026

Make the treatment and the appointment easier to understand

Your next med spa ad should answer a question patients bring to a consultation. These eight examples show different ways to explain a treatment, make an appointment tangible, or give people a reason to investigate it now.

  1. #1

    Make the explanation visible

Skin Pharm draws treatment areas on a face; Skin Laundry places four stages in one frame. Both give the viewer something specific to follow.

  2. #2

Show the part between appointment and result

OrangeTwist’s time labels and Ideal Image’s visit diary create room for the patient experience, beyond a finished beauty shot.

  3. #3

    Give each ad one job

Chapter explains the assessment, Peachy foregrounds pricing, and Milan connects the visit to a seasonal planning decision. We would test these as separate messages.

Wait until you see the Skin Pharm difference: clinically-proven skin care, customized treatment plans and natural, never-overdone results…

Creative pattern

Draw the explanation as you give it

Skin Pharm’s provider draws lines on one side of her face while explaining filler placement. The marked face becomes the visual thread through the clip, so a talking-head explanation also has a demonstration to follow.

Creative read

A simple physical demonstration can carry a technical explanation. We would borrow the drawing device and keep the script focused on one consultation question.

What to test

Compare a provider answering the same question with and without the drawing. Hold the offer and audience constant; compare qualified consultation bookings alongside viewing retention.

Hook
Fear reframe — “If you’re scared of filler, you’ve probably just seen it done wrong” appears over a provider facing the camera.

Smoother texture. Softer scars. Stronger collagen. Microneedling triggers your skin's natural repair response to rebuild the structure underneath…

Creative pattern

Give the recovery period its own story

OrangeTwist follows a microneedling visit through treatment and subsequent check-ins, ending with a visible 36-hours-after label. The chronological structure makes the interval after the appointment part of the creative.

Creative read

A diary can address the practical question of what happens afterward. The useful device is the sequence of time labels, tied to one person’s documented experience.

What to test

Test an appropriately contextualized patient diary against a visit-only edit. Ask the practice to review recovery wording, and compare the quality of consultation inquiries.

Hook
Recovery reveal — “Watch the microneedling glow up” appears over a smiling client, inviting viewers to follow her treatment diary.

What's all the buzz about laser facials? Come to Skin Laundry and find out.

Creative pattern

Put four stages in one frame

Skin Laundry uses a four-panel layout labeled prep, treat, enhance and glow. The short clip shows the stages simultaneously instead of asking viewers to wait through a longer walkthrough.

Creative read

A fixed grid can make a multi-stage service legible quickly. Each panel needs a clear job and labels that remain readable on a phone.

What to test

Build a grid edit and a sequential edit from the same approved footage. Compare early retention and booking-page visits, then check whether inquiries reflect an understanding of the service.

Hook
Process at a glance — A four-panel opening puts preparation, treatment, a mask and the final look on screen together, labeled “Prep,” “Treat,” “Enhance” and “Glow.”

DiamondGlow® delivers brighter, smoother, more radiant results — so you’ll be ready for every event, every photo, and…

Creative pattern

Let a relatively new customer narrate the visit

Ideal Image’s creator describes this as her second facial and takes viewers through a DiamondGlow appointment. Her account includes treatment footage and a post-visit reaction, giving the service a beginning, middle and end.

Creative read

A narrator with limited prior experience has a natural reason to explain each step. We would preserve the questions and concrete details that an experienced provider might skip.

What to test

Compare an appointment diary led by a newer customer with a provider-led walkthrough of the same service. Track qualified appointments rather than treating positive reactions as evidence of results.

Hook
Personal firsts — The creator says this is only her second facial, pairing her introduction with a “Glow ready for the season” overlay.

Creative pattern

Show what the consultation includes

Chapter shows a client at a skin-scanning device, the studio and a provider discussing the assessment. The ad gives a visual form to the consultation it invites people to book.

Creative read

A consultation offer becomes more specific when the ad shows what happens during it. Equipment is useful here as part of the appointment sequence, without needing to carry a broad superiority claim.

What to test

Compare this assessment sequence with a provider explaining the same consultation directly to camera. Measure completed bookings and attendance for each version.

Hook
Seasonal problem — “If summer left its mark on your skin” introduces footage of a client at a skin-scanning device and an invitation to book an assessment.

Promises are nice. Results are better. ☑️ Flat-rate Botox ☑️ All 3 areas: forehead, elevens, crow’s feet ☑️…

Creative pattern

Pair the visit story with a clear pricing model

Peachy combines a customer’s treatment visit and later reaction with messaging about flat-rate pricing. A branded end card closes the short narrative.

Creative read

Pricing can answer a concrete purchase question inside a personal story. Keep the actual terms accessible so the simplicity of the ad matches what people encounter next.

What to test

Test pricing near the opening against pricing after the visit footage. Keep the price and terms identical; compare qualified bookings and price-related questions.

Hook
Social-proof claim — An in-treatment shot opens with text saying the Botox studio is going viral, framing the visit as something people are already talking about.

Add defining structure and balance with expertly placed filler 💉💫 Our expert injectors know just how to get…

Creative pattern

Connect the treatment to a familiar beauty routine

VIO Med Spa Chicago frames its filler creative around contouring, then shows the product, treatment footage and a booking end card. It connects a clinical service to an everyday makeup reference.

Creative read

A familiar routine can provide the opening language for an unfamiliar service. We would keep that analogy narrow and let the provider explain suitability during consultation.

What to test

Compare a makeup-routine opening with a straightforward treatment-name opening using the same remaining footage. Review consultation quality as well as click-through.

Hook
Self-gifting invitation — A close-up of the VIO sign opens the video as the voiceover frames giving yourself a gift as the reason for the visit.

Your smooth skin era starts now.

Creative pattern

Use the season to explain when to start researching

Milan’s creator films a casual visit to the clinic and connects starting laser hair removal in autumn with planning for a later summer. The clip uses an ordinary appointment story to introduce timing.

Creative read

A seasonal planning message gives an ad a reason to run now without relying on a countdown. The timing explanation should stay consistent with the provider’s actual treatment guidance.

What to test

Compare a seasonal planning introduction with a service-benefit introduction. Keep the creator, offer and booking path constant, and evaluate booked consultations.

Hook
Future-season planning — Speaking from her car, the creator tells viewers who want smooth skin by next summer to start thinking about laser now.
